Welcome to Southwater Village Hall Preschool
Southwater's only charity-run preschool, giving village children a happy start since 1974. For over 50 years we have offered a safe, caring place where children from two years old to school age learn through play, guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage and rated Good by Ofsted.
Why families choose us
- Fifty years of local roots. Founded in June 1974 and run as a charity, not for profit, we are the only non-profit preschool in Southwater. Registered charity 1027293.
- Learning through play. Children move freely between our two halls and our large, fenced outdoor area, with a garden, mud kitchens and an outdoor classroom. Read about our day in preschool.
- A Key Person for every child. Each child has a named member of staff who helps them settle in, follows their progress and keeps their Learning Journal. See our Key Person scheme.
- Qualified, caring staff. Our team is professionally trained and keeps learning through the Early Years Alliance. Meet our staff.
- Flexible sessions. A morning session (9:00 to 12:00), an afternoon session (1:00 to 4:00) and a Lunch Link in between, with funded hours available for eligible children. See our fees and term dates.
